Unlike traditional LED light therapy, TLI’s active facial infusion systems is intended to combine colors of light with topicals to directly affect the tissue being treated. What are LED’s and how are they used by LIGHTWAVE?
LED’s- Light Emitting Diodes- provide infrared (invisible to the eye) and visible red light that helps the cells of the human tissue, the same way sunlight helps the cells of plants, process and utilize food and air, into usable energy. The LED’s are programmed to change frequency and patterns of length to offer the most beneficial treatment according to the client's needs and desired effects. LED technology has long been toted as being an aide in wound treatment; the reduction in appearance of wrinkles, scars and pain management through it’s use of deep-penetrating warmth and cell metabolism, and has been the topic of research by NASA for space utilization, medical college research studies, and even physical fitness training facilities everywhere. Most current medical responses to skin aging currently involve invasive, painful, and often very expensive means of correction. LIGHTWAVE offers a non-invasive approach that can be used regularly to reduce the appearance of the problem areas that these extensive surgeries and laser-treatments are being used to correct.
How is LED light therapy different from laser treatment?
LED light therapy is a skin rejuvenation treatment using non invasive, non ablative Red light therapy, Blue light therapy and Infrared light treatment for anti aging skin care, facial wrinkles, acne treatment, body treatments and more. LED is a safer, more effective and affordable alternative to laser treatment. Although laser treatments are capable of treating some of the same skin conditions as LED light therapy – such as facial wrinkles, acne scars and body treatments – unlike LED, lasers can be painful and invasive, and are limited to successfully treating only specific skin types. Red light therapy, Blue light therapy and Infrared light therapy also make it possible to treat large areas within a relatively short period of time – difficult to do with laser treatment.

How does the LED LIGHTWAVE system work?
The LED LIGHTWAVE treatment is a gentle and natural procedure much like the process of photosynthesis, also known as photo biostimulation, the stimulation of life processes with light. The LIGHTWAVE system uses both visible red and infrared light energy to stimulate your body’s own regenerative metabolism at the cellular level. Are LIGHTWAVE treatments safe?
LIGHTWAVE offers advanced cosmetic rejuvenation utilizing both Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, which has been determined by the FDA to be of non-significant risk and ABI Dermaceuticals Power Pure technology, which allow clients to experience the most effective formulations available. LIGHTWAVE treatments are completely non-invasive and do not produce any thermal damage or pain. Treatments times vary in duration depending on the needs of the individual client. However, treatments are generally perceived as pleasant and relaxing.
Are there any contraindications?
Yes, this procedure is for generally healthy people. Persons with any severe life threatening disease, epilepsy, photophobia or who are pregnant or plan to become pregnant are not candidates for the treatment. If possible, light sensitive medication should also be avoided while undergoing light therapy. Anyone with questions should consult their primary care physician before initiating treatment.
How long will the results last?
As with any treatment, individual results will vary from person to person. Factors which will influence the efficacy of your personal treatment include physical condition, age, diet, skin care routine and lifestyle. Most people can see noticeable changes in 6-8 treatments and sometimes in as few as 2 or 3 treatments. LIGHTWAVE™ is usually administered twice to three times per week. Consistent treatments and routine applications of appropriate skincare products are recommended to achieve and maintain a more youthful appearance. Maintenance treatments are suggested once every four to six weeks as needed. There is no limit to the number of treatments one can have over an extended period of time as long as you wait at least 24-36 hours between treatment sessions and at least 4 weeks between treatment protocols.
What kind of results can I expect?
Younger clients generally have fewer noticeable changes to their skin as they commonly have less skin damage. However, preventative care for younger client is very important to maintain a youthful appearance. LIGHTWAVE™ clients 35-45 years of age, in general see a 50% -60% improvement in wrinkles and flaccid skin. 10% -15% of patients see an 80%-90% improvement. No results can be guaranteed.
How soon will I see results?
Change doesn’t happen overnight! Although you will most likely notice some results as soon as your first session, the changes continue for weeks to months after. Most clients will see a significant improvement 30-45 days following.
How do Packages work?
Purchase a package of 4 or 8 sessions at a discounted price. It is strongly recommended that you pre-book your appointments to ensure proper spacing of sessions. You're making an investment in your skin so you should plan ahead and make sure to set time aside during this period to get the most out of your investment. Packages of 4 are intended to be used 1 time a week over a 4 week period and expire 30 days after purchase. Packages of 8 are intended to be used twice a week for the first 3 weeks followed by a 7th session on the 4th week and a final 8th session on the 8th week. Packages of 8 expire 60 days after purchase. Appointments must be a minimum of 48 hours apart. The standard cancellation policy applies to all package appointments.

These infusion options are a more targeted approach to address visible signs of aging such as loss of collagen, skin that has starting to sag, hyperpigmentation and acne prone skin conditions. These require an initial series with maintenance sessions recommended every 4-6 weeks to maintain and continue results.
